Supplier farm Oserian welcomes 3 baby Rhinos in one week

On Thursday 26 May and 30th May 2011, in a protected and nurturing environment, 3 adult female Southern White Rhinos gave birth to healthy calves. Mother and daughter Laikipia and Ol suswa‟s each have calves weighing around 100 pounds, so does Kisirani, the third female.
This success is testament to the founding principle of the core financier Oserian Development Company Limited (“ODCL”), whose motto is „Conservation Through Trade‟. ODCL is the largest and most technically advanced production facility of cut flowers in Kenya producing year round consistent quality flower products. It is the leading Fair Trade employer in Kenya and is both locally and internationally recognised for its initiatives in environmental biodiversity and sustainability.
It is through the medium of ODCL that Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary (“OWS”) has been so successful in its White Rhino breeding programme that began with the introduction of 6 White Rhino in 1997. Today, OWS is proud to have 15 White Rhino.
